Sharing a Few Tips for Surviving in Web3 (Wallet Security)#
To begin with, if you want to systematically learn and master crypto trading, I strongly recommend reading Teacher Yu's @evilcos "Self-Rescue Manual for the Dark Forest of Blockchain." The blockchain is like a dark forest; we traders cannot focus solely on making money while neglecting wallet security, as this could allow criminals to easily steal your achievements. Before pursuing profits, be sure to protect your principal! Manual Link
1. Don't Rush to Click Airdrop Links#
Many people are eager to click on airdrop links released by project teams, but overlook the possibility that the accounts of the project team or KOLs may have been hacked. For example, projects like eigenlayer and puffer have experienced account hacking incidents, and the links released at that time are often phishing traps. My approach is to wait until at least 3-5 well-known KOLs share airdrop information about a project before checking with a secondary account (be sure to use a secondary account rather than your main account first).
2. Be Cautious with Projects Requiring Chrome Plugin Downloads#
There have been cases where malicious Chrome plugins could steal user cookies, leading to account password leaks. Unless necessary, avoid downloading plugins casually.
3. Absolutely Do Not Engage with Projects Requiring Software Downloads#
Last year, several of my small trading wallets were stolen because I installed a malicious program disguised as mining software on my device. Since then, I have directly abandoned all projects that require downloading desktop software, even if a virtual machine is needed.
4. Do Not Store Large Amounts of Funds in Trading Wallets#
This point goes without saying: only store the funds you are willing to use for trading in your trading wallet, and do not transfer all assets from exchanges to it.
5. Do Not Update Fingerprint Browsers Unless Necessary#
Based on previous lessons from ads being stolen, do not update fingerprint browsers or other desktop software unless necessary. Many features are tied to specific versions, and updates may introduce vulnerabilities rather than improvements.
6. Plugins in Fingerprint Browsers Must Be Downloaded from the Chrome Store#
The ads incident involved supply chain poisoning attacks, and there are risks associated with plugins from application stores. All Chrome plugins should be installed through the official store to avoid using unofficial sources found via Baidu or Google searches.
7. Do Not Ask Others for Installation Packages#
Many friends in the crypto community are accustomed to asking others for installation packages, such as VPNs, emulators, or assistant tools. This is not a good habit, as malicious installation packages may compromise accounts.
8. Do Not Authorize Easily#
Last year, I almost fell for a scam: after the project team's account was hacked, phishing links were released, and the "claim" button would trigger asset transfer authorization. Clicking it resulted in my wallet being emptied. Therefore, always carefully check when authorizing wallet operations.
9. Use New Wallets for Projects Requiring Wallet Imports#
For projects that require importing wallets (such as new wallet platforms or new service offerings), I always create new wallets for operations.

🔥 Solutions for Accessing OKX Exchange from Within China#
Many exchanges' original domain names may be restricted, or access may be delayed due to overseas servers. This is usually a network environment issue rather than a platform service interruption. Exchanges like OKX and Binance regularly update their backup domain names to ensure users can continue to access them.
